This is a Recording King Soloist. I have owned a number of banjoes; from an original Ode (still have) to a Stelling Staghorn. This has the fastest neck of any banjo I have played. It has great projection and plays like a dream. Don't even think about singing over it! I bought this many months ago with the idea of an inlay artist doing some major inlays to the inside of the resonator (then putting on a clear head. Somehow that never happened and it looks like it won't. It's a fantastic instrument played a maximum of 30 minutes (I have lots of instruments).
I have no reserve and plan to sell this instrument. It comes with the original black hard shell case.
If you want a terrific banjo at a great price - don't pass this one up. This is probably the best value of any instrument I've ever sold on ebay - and I've sold many thousands of dollars worth of instruments (and will continue). This banjo usually is 'discounted' at $1,425.00.
