Old Alvarez ? good Banjo with very case

This was given to me by my great uncle when he passed 15 yrs ago. Been in closet ever since-in its nice case. He wanted it to be played by someone, Im all about guitars though so Im going to buy a guitar once I sell this in memory of him.
Fact: I dont have a clue about banjos. Took it to a gibson shop, they said it was a Alvarez body?, and the neck was by some else unkown? No name on it. I will not guarantee brand name etc since Im taking someone else word. They sold me two parts a bridge and another part that goes between the head and neck that the strings rest on to make it playable. However I do not wish to take time to do this when I just want to get something for it in return. The neck has been a custom job by someone, is not orginal Alvarez. The whole banjo is very solid, and neck is straight. As for cosmetics the body is in great shape, the neck is decent, its not perfect though. See photos. Im trying to discribe this as best I can, plus goin on other peoples word. So dont bid unless you know you want it. It is a nice banjo, but it is in used condition. Dont know how old, but do know I didnt get it untill 15 yrs ago plus the unknown years my great uncle had it. There is also something loose in the body that rolls around when turning the banjo-sounds like something as small as a nut, screw? New martin strings included. I dont know how the action is? If it stays in tune? Never played since the first day I got it, and then I was 11 with no expierence and brains to know how it did play. Sold as is.
