I dont know much about Banjos as you will soon find out. But I believe this is a Fairbanks or Vega Banjo. I believe it to have originally been marked with a metal tag. This is a real attic find. Literally. As you see, it is not in what I would call great shape. The only real damage I can find though is one of the lugs that I photographed causing a split in the side. Other than that, perhaps it is restorable and in the condition you collectors like. I dont know.

What I do find amazing about this though, is that it obviously belonged to a real touring player. As you can see by the stickers on the case. This player got around. I am happy to provide any more details that are needed. SO please email with questions. I think this can be a real beauty if brought back to life.
