Vega 5 String Banjo w/ Hard Case

This listing is for an older Vega 5 string banjo with a hard case. Banjo is very nice except there is a 1/2'' slit in the drum, see picture five please. The banjo measures 37'' long with 5 strings. The drum part has a 13'' diameter. Fret board has 7 pieces of inlaid mother of pearl. The Vega at the top of the fret is also mother of pearl. I do not find a serial number or name other than the Vega at the top of the fret board. No missing screw heads. Wood is a darker stain. The case is in good clean condition, no smell. Inside is a red and pink checkerboard design. Does have three spots on the outside of the case where the black covering is coming loose, see picture 10 please. New picture of headstock added - last picture. There is no mark on the headstock. Looks like there is a mark in picture 3, there is NO mark.

I took the banjo apart and the metal part of the inside of the resonator has been painted black so I cannot find any numbers. The stretcher bar is metal with no numbers on it either. Please email me if you would like add'l pictures sent directly to you. Thank you
