Bart Reiter ''Galax'' model 5-string open back banjo. Made with a mahogany neck and a maple dowel stick. 11 inch diameter 3-ply Vermont maple rim with a walnut rim cap. Brown stain and satin lacquer. Fingerboard has 17 frets, the last five frets are removed and that area is scooped out. Scale length is 26 1/4''. USA made Stewart-MacDonald hardware is used throughout. Has Five Star Planet pegs and No Knot tailpiece. Five Star frosted head, 24 notch tension hoop with Whyte Laydie tone ring. Indian ebony fingerboard and peg head veneer. Played a little, made in 2008, serial number is3089. Used but in excellent condition. Banjo comes with a new flat top TKL hard case, made in Canada. Insured UPS shipping costs $25 to the lower 48 states. I am sorry, but I do not ship outside of the USA or take special and custom orders.
