Gibson Style Yates Banjo
This banjo is no longer for sale (sold on 2008-10-23)
Price : US $1,675.
This banjo will sell to the highest bidder. This banjo was made by Warren Yates. He sold it in Aug. of 2005. It has serial number 0003 on it which makes it quite collectable.
I bought it for that reason. It has a radiused fingerboard and a radiused Sosebee Bosnian
maple bridge made for this banjo by Gary Sosebee. It has a Fults tailpiece. As you can see,
it is made of choice curly maple and it comes with a Yates Rattlesnake TKL professional
series case. Warren used a Tenn. 20 tone ring in it, he told me if a person wanted to buy
a venom tone ring to put in it that it would be easy to install. I have owned about 20 banjos in 31 years of playing and my personal favorite has been the Tenn. 20 ring since
the Crafters people came up with it. Hard economic times are the reason for the sale of
this banjo, otherwise I would not sell it. I prefer paypal as payment but I will accept a
postal money order or cash if you wish to pick it up in person. I will charge a flat $30.00
to ship it anywhere in the cont. United States. No shipping anywhere else please.
I am going to allow a 24 hr approval period. You will not be disappointed. Thanks for looking. Good Luck bidders.
I will consider offers.
