This is a very old Orpheum #1 plectrum banjo in beautiful condition. I am not sure of the exact date, but from the research I have done it looks to be from around 1916 to 1920. These banjos were made by Rettburg and Lange Co. of New York, who later made the Paramount banjos. This banjo has 22 frets, and ebony fingerboard, and maple neck and sound ring. I just had this banjo recently gone through, so it is in perfect playable condition. It comes with the original case, which is in fair condition. There are some tears in the covering, it is missing the handle, and the glue has dryed up on the inside letting the interior come off the sides of the inside case. I am not very familiar with banjos, so if anyone has additional info on this wonderful piece, please feel free to share. If the buy it now is used, I will ship for free. Please ask any questions before bidding, and as this is an old piece, it is sold as is.
