This is a rare opportunity to buy a great instrument for a very reasonable amount of money. This is the first effort by Japan to build a great banjo in the 1970's that could compete with Gibson the leading banjo and stringed instrument maker in the United States. It does have the truss rod, bowtie inlays and the tone ring very similar to the Mastertone tone ring. This is a heavy instrument and does produce a great sound! Action is close and comfortable. The neck is straight. If you are thinking about getting into bluegrass or country, this is your chance without having to spend thousands of dollars. Tuners works great and operates very smooth. The weight is close to 11 pounds. The case is the original case and it fits the banjo perfectly, the case is in great shape. Custom bridge & tailpiece. This instrument will not dissapoint you!
