Up for auction is a Deering Goodtyme Left-Handed 5-string Banjo neck. I purchased this neck at a Deering consignment sale a while back. The neck was removed from the production line, as there is a small chip on the upper corner of the peghead. This is a minor cosmetic defect, and will not affect the playability of the banjo neck at all. The neck has not been final sanded, so when you sand it, you can probably just sand that little chip out. The neck will also require finishing to suit your taste. The heel has been cut to a ''straight'' heel cut, but the lag bolt holes have not yet been drilled. This would make a really nice banjo for the LEFTY banjo player in your house.
