Circa 1978/82, serial # (MODEL NUMBER) 4293. This Banjo is hard to find.It is made to the exact specs of a Gibson Mastertone... In this condition it is almost impossible to find. Great neck, accurate intonation at all positions, loud, but not over-powering, concentric rings on resonator, Scruggs tuners (perfect condition), all original with ''The Gibson'' hard-case. (and a few interesting stickers!). This banjo is a very sweet player, and it has that ''feel''. I have enjoyed it for quite a while, as I am sure you will. I m including a new head, and a few other cool items for a ''buy it Now'' purchase ....There a few very small nicks on the head-peg back, and just very small ''use-marks'' but NEVER any damage, or cracks, or repairs!. It has a bridge pick-up, (I have never tried it) but I am sure it is O.K., I have played it against a few Gibsons, and it is a ''close-call'' as to over-all quality and tone....low reserve, collectable, fully pro-set. vintage great player....bid to win!
