This is one beautiful Gibson Earl Scruggs Standard banjo. Made in 2002. Excellent condition! Professionally set up last year and sounds fantastic, great tone, volume and sustain. This baby really rings, cuts through anything! Exceptional flamed maple resonator and neck. Incredible Mother of Pearl inlays all intact! All original tuners, Kulesh tonering, Presto tailpiece, Grover bridge, and has the Earl Scruggs signature label. Spikes on 7th and 9th frets. Very well cared for! Hardly a mark on this instrument, just a couple of very insignificant dings on the back which you have to look very closely for to see. Minimal wear on the Remo WeatherKing head. The nickel hardware has the typical tarnish, a patina that most players seem to prefer, so I'll leave it up to you whether to polish it up or not. This beauty belongs in the hands of a real picker and that's not me. I just don't have the time to devote to this wonderful instrument anymore and although I'd like to keep it just to look at that Pearl, Pearl, Pearl, it is a truly fine banjo in every way and deserves to be played. Original case has a few minor scuffs but is in excellent condition overall with all working latches and even two keys for the lock. If you're looking for a great deal on a high quality banjo you want to bid on this one - better yet, Buy It Now and make sure it's yours! Thanks for looking and good luck!
