For sale-one beautiful Gibson Mastertone Tenor Banjo
I bought this banjo new in 1960. Am original and only owner-played around with it but never really learned to play. When I went into the cabinet business in 1970, I thought it might be fun to make a five string neck, so I removed the strings. After a bit of further study, I found that this effort was not going to work. I put the banjo back in the case and put it away.
This banjo is in mint condition. Just check the pictures and let me know if you need more info. There is a small dent on the back of the neck-thumb side fret 5 or 6 but it did not chip the lacquer.
I am putting a reserve/minimum price on this banjo-if it doesn't sell, I'll just keep it a while longer. I will only accept Pay Pal payment; it is just easier for everyone concerned. Shipping cost is $50.00 with insurance in the continental US-added to sale price.
Thanks so much for looking. Again, if you have questions or need additional info, please email me.
