This was bought new in 1999.
My husband played it for several years.
In good condition except for the bottom of the neck where the strap button was rubbing. (see picture)
Still sounds great, just waiting for someone to pick it up and play it again.
Comes with its original hard shell case.
You also will get the original Banjo Maintenance Book and my husband's Deering Banjo Original Ownership Gold Card showing the serial no., model, and purchase date.

The Golden Era banjo is a unique model of the Deering line. It's designed to reproduce the most sought-after five-string banjos of the pre-war era. The unique features of the Golden Era are the thicker neck shape which creates more sustain and the deeper resonator which provides that warm gutsy tone.
