Yes we had one of ''those days'' here at Metal Shop Music. One of those days when someone drags something in to sell and you just don't know what the heck it is, where the heck it's been, or what the heck you are supposed to do with it. Having no idea of any of these variables, we offered to sell it FOR the customer (who knew nothing about it either) on eBay and let you the great eBay community decide what it is worth and give it a home where it can be appreciated and put to good use. There were no date codes or serials or anything like that and yes we did unsrcew the back of it to see if there was anything inside.
Well starting out with NO info just meant we had everything to gain by searching the web for info. We quickly found a few sites (two of the most accurate listed below) that had some solid info and similar pictures to the item we are offering here. The best we can tell this instrument was made sometime between 1920 and 1940 and is a banjo/ukulele hybrid made by Gibson (or THE GIBSON as it was called back then). We have no idea of the history on this instrument or if it is all original so we decided to list her for a penny (that's one cent folks;) and see what happens. The instrument will be sold as is (notice we did not even mess with the strings or replace the broken one) with no warranty and the sale will be final.
