Fender Artist Banjo Pot
This banjo is no longer for sale (sold on 2009-12-16)
Price : US $560.00
This is a rare late 60's or early 70's Fender Artist flat head banjo pot. The neck was damaged so I am selling the pot. These are great banjos and this pot is in great shape. The original chrome hardware, tone ring, and flange are all there and is in good shape with no major issues. It has some minor pitting and scratches in a few areas but no peeling that I can see. The inside of the resonator was sanded to ''soften'' the sound of the banjo a little. It was originally painted with thick black paint that can sound a little harsh. Not a big deal because you can easily re-paint the inside if you want to. Also standard resonator wall lugs were installed at one time but the original Fender lugs are back in place. The finish on the back of resonator is in fair shape and has some cracks and scratches but nothing major. The walnut veneer still looks good. It has a new Remo head. This would make a great replacement pot for another Fender Artist or you could build a new neck for it or retro-fit an existing Gibson style neck. It would make great second banjo or an experimental banjo for all you tinkerers out there.
