Bought this 10 years ago for clawhammer playing. Pot size is 10 7/8 '' and it's about 37'' tall. Great old time sound. Low action and fun to play. This had a resonator back on it at one time, but it was removed in order to play old time music as opposed to Bluegrass ! That explains the metal trim in the front.Great sound from the Vega solid rolled metal tone ring ! Enjoyable to play !
I have other banjos and don't play this one very often anymore. Great banjo for beginner through professional ! You can't go wrong! Easy to play and has plunky old- time Vega sound. The fifth string has a built -on slide-capo. Never seen a fifth string capo like this before but it works fine ! You could always put in capo spikes if you prefer and take off the slide -capo. The neck is straight and the sound is loud ! Good tuners that stay in tune too! This is a winner ! Will pack securely and insure !. This doesn't come with a case, sorry ! A nice Vega banjo like this is hard to find!
