You are viewing a 1997 Gibson RB-7 Top Tension 5-string banjo. It has a maple neck and resonator. It has a Huber head and Nechville compensated bridge. Serial number 7-9303-3. The banjo is in excellent condition just like new with no scratches, dings, dents or belt wear. It has a Kulesh tone ring and has a rich powerful sound. The fingerboard is radiusede and there is no buzzing or dead spots. Check out the beautiful Brazilian fingerboard. The case is in excellent condition. This banjo is one of four I own. I don't use it much given it's pristine condition and one or two other workhorse banjos.
I am thinning the herd and would encourage prospective buyers to read up on the RB-7. This is a reissue very faithful to the original. I understand they are not made anymore. Here is a link on the RB-7 reissue. http://www.janetdavismusic.com/rb7.html

I wanted to emphasis again how nice this banjo is. What is best is how it plays and sounds. Solid maple plus the resonator has a flat back inside and pushes the volume out. The banjo is loud and has great intonation and projection. I have played banjo for a number of years and bought this from a friend some time back. He bought a 1937 RB-7. Both this 1997 and the 1937 are powerful great sounding banjos. I sound like a salesman and i am not trying to fluff up this banjo. It holds its own, is a bit rare and will do nothing but get better with age. Plus, it is a Gibson!!
