You are bidding on the exact Harmony 5 string banjo, with case and extras shown in the auction photos. I am not a banjo expert, so I don't know anything about it, but when I strum the strings they all work. I did sell a Harmony Rocket Guitar a couple of years ago and this is just as nice. I have no idea about how old it is. I just received it this past week and the lady said it was her fathers. It says Harmony on the end as you can see from the photos. It has four long strings and a fifth shorter string as you can see. As you can see it does not have a back on it. It seems like most banjos don't have backs on them. There doesn't seem to be any major issues cosmetically with the banjo. There are no scratches or cracks on it. It was alittle dusty and I gently wiped most of the dust off. She said it has been sitting in her house for many years unplayed. There is one minor nick or indention up on the top about 4 inches below the ''H'' in Harmony next to the turning nob. It truly looks in excellent condition like no one actually played it very much. The bottom metal piece where the string connect has a few minor surface scratches. It also comes with a hard case and whatever else you see in the auction photos. Two blocks, three straps (one still has the tag on it) and another three nob something. I don't know what that is.
