Dowel stick and coordinator rod rim support and adjustment as used only on the first models of the banjo mandolins introduced by Gibson. The banjo mandolin was first introduced by Gibson in April 1919 with THIS MODEL. It features a 10 ½ “ head, this has a natural Joseph A. Rogers, Jr calf skin head, the finest, 24 brackets, the original string guard, arm guard, original tuners, all operational, ebony fingerboard. The Instrument is in great condition with a little corrosion on the plating which can be easily cleaned. The rim and neck are solid and without any splits or cracks. The neck is straight as an arrow, without any bows or warps. The action is low and the instrument plays better than new. The resonator is fully functional and is bound in peraloid. There is a stable crack in the resonator. There is a solid hard shell case, plush lined, original to the instrument. It is stained on the outside.
