Very nice Ventura 5-string flathead banjo made in the 70's by Alvarez.
This is a close copy of the Gibson Mastertone with the bowtie inlay pattern.
Features:
19-hole bronze tone ring
Spring-loaded clamshell tailpiece
Two-legged armrest
Fiddle-style peghead
Four geared tuners (one knob has been replaced)
Friction fifth string tuner (tight, works well)
Fifth-string spikes installed at frets 7, 9, and 10
Mahogany neck with dark brown bindings
Grover 1/2'' maple bridge with bone inserts
New Fiberskyn head
Rosewood or mahogany resonator
26.25'' scale length
''Custom made'' truss rod cover (used on the better models).
Condition is excellent. Clean. No issues. Minimal wear & tear.
Nickel plating is bright and corrosion-free.
The lockable (key included) hardshell case is in great condition also.
Neckstrap included.
