Up for your consideration is a beautiful Vintage Tenor Banjo made in Japan by the Iida company. This 4 string banjo has a gorgeous grained Mahogany resonator back and Mahogany neck that is very smooth and easy to play. Nice straight neck with low action make playing this a dream and the sound is surprisingly loud. The banjo is in very good condition with new strings installed, the banjo head is clear. The inner rim is marked: '' Iida 7607 Pat.'' (see photo) and is the only mark or number I can find. The Banjo has a metal ring behind the head, is this a tone ring? Sorry, I play guitar and don't know a lot about the banjo. The tuners are great, encased in chrome with pearl type buttons and work well. The logo is inlaid in the headstock with what looks like Abalone and the Rosewood fingerboard features nice block mother of pearl inlaid fret markers. A few scratches here and there but no cracks or breaks or problems - this is a very solid quality banjo. Comes with the original case.
