Vintage 1970's Gibson RB 800 Banjo and Case
This banjo is no longer for sale (sold on 2011-06-22)
Price : US $2,125.
I'm Selling this fine instrument for the family of the most recent owner here in central Texas. He was friends with the late Noah Crase, famous banjo player. Noah sold this banjo to the local man who owned it until his death about a year ago. I had a local musician play it and it sounded great! He posted his comments on Banjo Hangout website. This instrument is in very good condition with some wear of course. The metal ring located just under the head has 20 holes. The two upper tuners are marked ''The Keith Banjo Tuners'' and the two original Gibson tuners are in the case. There is a piece of hardware, one of the 4 hold down screw lugs that has been broken off. I have it in the case and it can be repaired although I'm told it has been off for a number of years and that Noah and the more recent owner did not ever bother to have it repaired as it did not effect the playing or sound quality of the instrument. There is a high quality case included and I will carefully pack and ship via FedEx with insurance and tracking anywhere inside the continental US for $29.00. I will consider shipping to other locations but I will need to quote on shipping charges.
