Sweet little 60s-era Kay banjo here. Open back, no-frills, pretty much the garage-rock (garage-bluegrass?) version of something like a Deering ''Goodtime'' model. Needs a high G string, the hi-g tuner is a replacement, and one of the headstock tuners is busted. You could probably replace it with a contemporary banjo peg, but a guitar peg might be cheaper/easier and would be a closer match to the others. You CAN play it as-is, but you have to tune to the tuner-pegless string...not really optimal for the hootenanny or picking party. Anyway, a tiny bit of TLC and this thing will be frail-ready!!! Due to the condition, this thing is a BARGAIN. They were already 75 bucks back in the 60s when there were millions of em around--Okay, they had all their tuners, but you see my point. Get BANJIN'!!!!
